Dear LWML sisters,
February 2021 LWML Minnesota South District collected $7,282.40 in mites. This is down $3,000 from January mites collected. Total mites for the 2020-2022 biennium is now $109,104.05.
Please consider your part in helping to make up the difference in the next months. February was cold and a few days shorter and as we look forward to Spring consider to plant a few extra seeds of coins in your mite box.
One of the objectives of the LWML Minnesota South is to gather funds for mission grants. If you are unable to give mites at your local society this month, consider using the link “Give Online” on the home page under the Mite Goal graph. It is a secure and safe way of giving.
Reminder to Thrivent members – if you have not used you 2020 Choice Dollars consider giving them to Lutheran Women's Missionary League MN South.

It’s a cardboard box (3-1/8” x 1-3/4” x 2-1/4”) designed by LWML (Lutheran Women’s Missionary League) to receive thank offerings, above and beyond our regular church giving. It holds pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and dollars and checks.
Mites collected in Mite Boxes are used to support mission grants selected at conventions.
From Scripture we read, Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth, but she, out of her poverty, put in everything - all she had to live on. (Mark 12:41-43).
